Our areas of focus

At NetPort Science Park, we can work in tandem to attract more capital, networks and expertise to generate growth in the region in general, and for our members in particular. NetPort primarily works with three focus areas: digital media, energy and intelligent transportation systems. We promote an exchange of knowledge, experience and contacts among these areas, which in turn generates successful synergies.

The Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) offers degrees and research programs in media technology and digital media. There is considerable interaction between BTH and the business community, and several digital media and gaming companies have been launched in recent years. BTH also conducts research and development on intelligent transportation systems. Furthermore, the local business community is home to several major companies with an interest in logistics and transportation research. Energy is a vast field, within which NetPort primarily focuses on energy optimization. Our goal is to become southern Sweden’s most formidable energy cluster by making IT advancements in the field of energy.
