ITS World Congress/ E-transactions
NetPort.Karlshamn got the assignment, for the ITS World Congress 2009, to lead the thematic area of e-transactions. The World Congress for Intelligent Transport Systems was held for the first time in Scandinavia in Stockholm from 21-25 September.
In NetPorts own stand there were 11 different organizations and companies under the heading “E-transactions Sweden”, including NetPorts project ARENA, Avalon Enterprise/Google, East West Transport Corridor II, Banverket – the Swedish Rail Administration, SWECO, Blekinge Institute of Technology, Mobile IT, CombiQ, Info24, Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications, Smart Solutions and the Swedish Customs.
NetPort was also presented at the booth “Its the Swedish Way” along with the National Road Administration, VINNOVA, the National Rail Administration, the Shipping administration and LFV. This booth featured “E-transactions – transparent and secure information exchange”.
There was also an “Experience Park” which was built in the area, here the visitors could go on a tour by electric car through different stations. NetPort were involved through project ARENA that showed how the tolls for trucks would work in practice.
NetPort participated as an active partner in the new form of expression ‘Demo Theatre’, where drama, video and audio were mixed to describe the new services and new technology in a simpler way. NetPort also made a presentation on the concept of e-transactions.
